Through analyzing the influencing factors of the outlet water temperature of a cooling tower, presents the optimal operation strategy of outlet water temperature based on the minimal energy consumption of the cooling water system. According to the comparison of energy consumption of the cooling water system with different numbers of cooling towers operating, presents the optimal operation method of cooling towers operating simultaneously with fans in uniform variable frequency operation, and puts forward that the maintenance of cooling towers should be strengthened in order to ensure the uniformity of the water flow distribution and utilize the heat transfer area of cooling towers effectively.
